Hello,

I am Ruzena Hoffschwelle.

I am a Senior Advisor and Certified Social Worker with more than 16 years of professional experience in Germany’s public social systems, specialising in migration, integration, child protection, and youth welfare.

My career has been rooted in public administration, where I worked within the Youth Welfare Office (Jugendamt), supporting children, young people, and families in complex situations involving child protection, family conflict, youth justice, and social integration. This work gave me deep, practical insight into how social systems function, and where they often fail the people they are meant to serve.

Alongside my professional work, I bring a bi-cultural perspective shaped by lived experience of migration, integration, and identity between African and German contexts. This allows me to bridge institutional frameworks with real human needs, a perspective that is increasingly vital in today’s migration and integration landscape.

Today, my work spans two interconnected areas:
• Advisory and consulting for organisations, institutions, and programmes, and
• Support, guidance, and empowerment for individuals and families navigating migration, relocation, and life transitions.

Through Ruzhoff, I believe in strengthening systems and people, because sustainable change happens when both are seen, understood, and supported.
